Seventeen-year-old Australian sprinting sensation Gout Gout has once again electrified the athletics world by clocking a blistering 19.84 seconds in the 200m final at the 2025 Australian Athletics Championships in Perth. Although the performance was wind-assisted with a +2.2 m/s tailwind—just above the legal limit—it marks the second-fastest 200m ever run by an under-20 athlete, trailing only Erriyon Knighton’s 19.49 in 2022.
